Measurement Points and Equipment

The process of cement production is closely related to emissions of dust and gases from the process of burning.

The emissions of dust and exhaust gases are continuously monitored and measured at the below-mentioned points:

 1. Production line Raw meal preparation – Rotary kiln 3: continuous measuring of emissions of dust, SO2, NOX, gas velocity, O2, H2O, temperature, pressure
 2. Production line Raw meal preparation – Rotary kiln 4: continuous measuring of emissions  of dust, SO2, NOX, gas velocity, O2, H2O, temperature, pressure
 3. Clinker cooler at Kiln 3: dust
 4. Clinker cooler at Kiln 4: dust
 5. Cement mill 3: dust
 6. Cement mill 4: dust
 7. Cement mill 5: dust
 8. Cement mill 6: dust
 9.  Solid fuel vertical mill: dust
10. Solid fuel dryer: dust
11. Solid fuel mill: dust

The measuring of emissions is performed by means of instruments installed at each of the stacks of the afore-mentioned processes. The company SICK from Germany is the manufacturer of the instruments. An overview of the types of instruments, the points of installation and the parameters being measured are presented in a table.

The maintenance and control of the instruments is conducted as per the instructions of the manufacturer and the legal requirements for such type of instruments.
The data derived from the measured values are processed using the licensed software MEAC 2000. The processed values are presented in conformity with the legal requirements.
