He is extremely knowledgeable of the technology of cement production and the implementation of innovations in this industry. "Creating sustainable development remains the highest goal of our company and all our activities will continue to move in that direction. We can achieve this only through sincere and close cooperation with all our partners. Sustainable development is only possible if all stakeholders in the community support each other and progress together. We continue with activities and projects that will be significant for our company, for the national economy and for the community as a whole," said Konstantinos Nikolaou.
Boris Hrisafov has led the company since 2011, when he assumed the position of Chief Executive Director and when major reform processes were implemented. In the same year, the company received the A- integrated environmental permit. 60 million euros were invested in this significant process of modernization of production and the overall operation of the company. Aimed at greater use of renewable energy based on the principles of circular economy, an investment was made in a plant for the use of alternative fuels, the first of its kind in the country, and in a photovoltaic plant with installed power output of 3 MWp. In addition to this significant process, under the management of Hrisafov, relations with all stakeholders and partners of the company were strengthened, while the transparency and relations with the public, the non-governmental sector and the media significantly improved.
"Changes have never been an easy and simple process. Despite that, we were determined that this was our path as a responsible and transparent company. We started processes through which our operations were transformed, and investments enabled all our activities to take place according to the highest standards. USJE has a significant share in the national economy, and the implementation of partnership projects with various stakeholders from the community allowed us to encourage changes in various segments of society. In this process of changes, the support of all our partners was significant, and I am confident that in the future it will not only continue, but also intensify, because the new ESG standards encourage this process", said the current CED, Boris Hrisafov.
The new Chief Executive Director Nikolaou will continue the policy of continuous sustainable development, transparency and building strong relationships with all stakeholders and relevant partners. Mario Bracci is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, and is also a non-executive member of the Board of Directors. Yanni Paniaras, who resigned due to other professional engagements within Titan Group, is no longer a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
