USJE hosted an Environmental Training session for the State Inspectorate, featuring presentations on installation operations by the Environment Department, a welcome from the new General Executive Director, Konstantinos Nikolaou and addresses from Center for Climate Changes and UNDP representatives.
Organized by the Center for Climate Changes (CKP) under the "Tackling Air Pollution" project, part of the UNDP Program Framework, the training was a collaboration between UNDP, the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, and the municipalities of Kavadarci, Kumanovo, Gostivar, Struga, and Strumica.
Led by Darko Blinkov, General Inspector for the Environment, and Mite Nachev, State Inspector for the Environment - Skopje Region, the sessions covered the development of standard operating procedures for inspections, preparation of monthly and annual work plans, and the inspection process itself. At the event, USJE Environmental Manager, Natasa Bakreska presented our strategic objectives on decarbonization including alternative fuels use in cement industry and circular economy.
The training was rounded-up by tour around the plant and all participants had the opportunity to get introduced to our production process guided by or Technical director, Goce Cvetkoski and the Production manager, Ljupco Doncev. Prior, short Health and safety training was delivered to the participants according to our procedures for visitors.
