The project for “Step Change Improvement of Health & Safety at Work” in TITAN’s South East Europe Business Units aims to improve the Health & Safety at Work with the aim of achieving “zero accidents” status. DuPont Safety Resources (DSR), the world leader in industrial safety, will manage this €300,000 project for Cementarnica USJE AD.
12.11.2008 - Skopje. Significant improvements in Health & Safety at Work and elimination of safety risks are the main goals of the “Step Change Improvement of Health & Safety at Work” in TITAN’s South East Europe Business Units, which "Cementarnica USJE AD" has started to implement. It is about the introduction of new methods, practices and standards in all operations, as well as a “zero accidents” safety culture that will guarantee safety in each stage of the production process.
The project has already started and will include all employees and subcontractors of Usje. Through individual questionnaires, the employees have already states their perceptions about the Health & Safety at Work, and will emphasize the most critical points, which they have located while working.

This project depends on each of us, and it cannot be implemented if it does not involve every employee and subcontractor of the Company. The implementation of this project will be managed by DuPont Safety Resources (DSR), which is the world leader in the field of Health & Safety at Work and has enormous experience in implementing such projects. In the current stage of the project DuPont Consultants assess the current situation in the plant regarding Health & Safety. This will act as a starting point from which they will base their further recommendations. An Action Plan will then be prepared based on the recommendations that will tackle any Health & Safety weaknesses.
Cementarnica USJE AD is continuously implementing series of activities for increasing the Health & Safety at Work. The Project for “Step Change Improvement of Health & Safety at Work” in TITAN’s South East Europe Business Units will be implemented on the level of the entire Titan Group, with Cementarnica USJE AD being the first member of the SEE Business Units to start this project.
