On the occasion of 55 years of founding of the Municipality of Kisela Voda
Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje with a recognition for social responsibility
The recognition is a result of the long-standing contribution and development of the Municipality in the segments of education, environment, health and safety at work
Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje is the winner of a special recognition for social responsibility. The award was granted by the Council of the Municipality of Kisela Voda, in recognition of the Company's long-standing contribution and development of the Municipality in several areas. For more than a decade, USJE together with the Municipality of Kisela Voda has been carrying out projects in the segments of education, environment, as well as health and safety in work.
Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje received this recognition at the ceremonial academy organized on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the foundation of the Municipality of Kisela Voda. The recognition for outstanding contribution to the growth and development of the Municipality of Kisela Voda were awarded within the event organized in commemoration of the municipal jubilee.
'Any municipality and the local government ruling can be deemed successful only if they pulse in the same pace with the citizens, companies and institutions and their needs. The Municipality of Kisela Voda has grown into a modern local community, thanks to the cooperation and the joint efforts of all its members. What has been achieved today would not have been possible if this process of enhancement was not unselfishly supported by both committed enthusiasts, as well as responsible companies such as Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje. This company, feeling as part of the Municipality of Kisela Voda, enabled advances in several key segments in the Municipality with its contribution. Hence, I, as a Mayor, would like to emphasize that our cooperation will continue in the future in direction of realization of our mutual interests and general progress', Mayor Marjan Gjorchev stressed.
At the act of granting of the recognition, the Chief Executive Director of Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje, Anthony Nicolopoulos, emphasized:
'We are very satisfied and happy today to see these efforts being recognized and rewarded by our local society, the Municipality of Kisela Voda, as both them and us celebrate our joint 55 years living, working and supporting each other together. Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje is committed to continue to invest its resources into implementing our CSR Policy in those areas in Kisela Voda and beyond and we look forward to another successful 55 years of cohabitation & cooperation with our community’.
USJE works in cooperation with the Municipality on several key projects within the frames of environment improvement. Traditionally, the Company works on horticultural arrangement of the yards of kindergartens and schools in the Municipality of Kisela Voda. Last year only, several hundreds of seedlings were planted in eight primary schools in the Municipal territory. USJE donated seedlings for the Veseli Cvetovi Kindergarten and also arranged several parks in the Municipality of Kisela Voda.
In the area of education USJE and the Municipality of Kisela Voda also traditionally organize education for the citizens from the Municipality every year and it is with their help that the summer camp for the hearing impaired children is realized, where additional educational and sports activities are organized.
The activities and cooperation in this area continue in the forthcoming period as well.
