Thanks to the Summer Educational and Sports Camp, the children with impaired hearing are given an opportunity to have even more fun and to socilaize, as well as a chance for additional education. This year, children with special needs from the Republic of Slovenia joined the children from Macedonia
Partenie Zografski, Education and Rehabilitation Centre, organized the Summer Educational and Sports Camp for Children with Special Needs. Within the Summer Educational and Sports Camp, the children with special needs from the Partenie Zografski, Education and Rehabilitation Centre will be able to hang out despite the fact that the school year is over.
This year, aside from the children from Macedonia, the Summer Educational and Sports Camp was attended by children with special needs from the Republic of Slovenia, thus giving the camp an international dimension.
“The purpose of this camp is to allow the children with impaired hearing to socialize, to gain additional education, to have fun, and to play sports during the summer as well. Throughout the year, the children are staying at the Partenie Zografski, Education and Rehabilitation Centre, however, during the summer, some of them have difficulties adapting to their native environments because they frequently are not accepted and do not socialize. That is why, through this Summer Educational and Summer Camp we are trying to offer these children additional activities,” Milisav Jovanovski, teacher at the Partenie Zografski, Education and Rehabilitation Centre, says.
Within the summer educational plan, the children with impaired hearing have an opportunity to hang out and to improve their communication skills. At the same time, through education, they create moral values and manners.
The Summer Educational and Sports Camp has been supported by Titan Cementarnica Usje, which is a long-year partner of the Partenie Zografski, Education and Rehabilitation Centre. As a result of its long-term commitment to supporting educational projects, Titan Cementarnica Usje during the school year as well enables practical activities within the Company that gives the pupils from this school an opportunity to master their technical skills and their skills for operating machines.
The Summer Educational and Sports Camp was taking place for 10 days, from June 15 to June 25, and it was organized for the fourth time.
