Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje, a long- term partner of the Partenie Zografski, Education and Rehabilitation Centre, supported again the Summer Educational and Sports Camp for the children with impaired hearing.
This year the project included a drawing competition on environmental subject. The competition was organized together with the school and present representatives from USJE, and in fact all 17 high-school students that participated in the contest were awarded with a one week vacation.
Thanks to the Summer Educational and Sports Camp, the children with impaired hearing are given an opportunity to have even more fun and to socilaize, as well as a chance for additional education upon completion of the school year.
“The purpose of this camp is to allow the children with impaired hearing to socialize, to gain additional education, to have fun, and to play sports during the summer as well as they usually have difficulties adapting to their native environments because they frequently are not accepted and do not socialize. That is why, through this Summer Educational and Summer Camp we are trying to offer these children additional activities,” Milisav Jovanovski, Teacher at the Partenie Zografski, Education and Rehabilitation Centre, says.
Within the summer educational camp, the children with impaired hearing have an opportunity to spend time together and to improve their communication skills. At the same time, through education, they create moral values and manners. Moreover, USJE has provided support in kind to the Primary School Dimo Hadzi Dimov in Skopje for construction of 5 access ramps for handicapped persons. These activities that are in line with the Corporate Social Reposnibility Policy of USJE sustain our determination for support of the education of the young people as well as the educational process in the country.
