TITAN USJE presented the innovative solutions in the application of artificial intelligence at this year's AI Tech Summit, which brought together leading global companies and experts in the field of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence. The summit held in Skopje is one of the most significant events on this topic in Southeast Europe, and it brings together technological innovators, researchers and business leaders who present the latest achievements in the application of artificial intelligence in various industries.
Panagiotis Margaris, Director of Digital Solutions of TITAN group, which manages 14 cement plants in North and South America, Africa, Asia and Southeast Europe, presented TITAN’s strategy towards the next generation operating model through digital transformation, which the group is gradually implementing in all its cement plants. "In addition to other benefits, innovative technological solutions and artificial intelligence provide us with a highly efficient model for the use of renewable energy, green infrastructure, circular economy practices and digital optimization, with the ultimate goal of decarbonizing cement production. This process is managed by world-class centralized expertise, and execution is carried out successfully by local teams of experts. We are proud to grow into one of the leaders in the sector in terms of implementing innovative digital solutions with the application of AI in daily operations," Margaris explained.
Within the framework of this strategy of the group, the team of TITAN USJE, in collaboration with the group’s digital team, implemented an autonomous system for optimization of production in real time – a pioneering solution in the cement industry, which is further introduced in all cement plants of the group. "Using innovative technologies and artificial intelligence we managed to maximize throughput in production, while at the same time reducing energy consumption and improving the quality of the final product. Finally, we have achieved a significant reduction in CO2 emissions, which is a strategic commitment of our group," said Dejan Velichkovski, Manager of digitization, IT infrastructure and security at TITAN USJE.
