Following its commitment to sustainable development as well as its Environmental Policy, Cementarnica USJE supported the event marking the 5th June, World Environmental Day under the motto "Beat plastics pollution". Cementarnica USJE donated 300 canvas bags to children who during this school year 2017/2018 collected as much plastic bottles as possible that they gave for recycling. Through this action USJE sent a strong message for introducing positive habits in our everyday life by reducing the use of plastic and smart waste selection.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and the Office of United Nations in Macedonia, when the Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Jani Makraduli, the Mayor of Skopje Petre Shilegov, the representative of UNEP Iskra Stojanova and UNDP Resident Representative in Macedonia, Louisa Vinton gave their speeches.
