In January 2011, Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje received certification of its Health & Safety Management System OHSAS 18001:2007 by the independent certification body ELOT. Upon the audit by ELOT, it was ascertained that the Occupational Health & Safety Management System of USJE is fully in compliance with the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.
The Occupational Health & Safety Management System OHSAS 18001:2007 will further guide our approach towards achievement of our top priority “zero accidents”. Clear organizational accountabilities will be supported by an extensive program of training, communication, strict procedural discipline and locally developed policies and action plans. All employees are expected to put their best efforts and commitment in order to follow the new trends in the area of H&S through continuous improvement of the OHSAS Management System.
Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje was certified with the Quality System ISO 9001:2000 in 2004, while in 2006 we received certification of the Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2004, extending its continual efforts for abatement of the impact of the Company’s activities to the environment.
OHSAS 18001:2007 is the third Management System implemented in USJE and our next step will be to combine these three systems in one integrated Management System.
